I don't. Thiago was about to replace Xavi, what means that he would play deep. Did you see his first match as a DM against a stronger side than some friendly pet-teams? They (Bayern) lost a goal because of his funny, tricky attitude. He is good as an attacking midfielder, which we don't need actually

Doesn't make much of a sense.Its not an excuse at all,he is not the one to be blamed of been played in a position and role he is unfamiliar with and certainly doesn't have the best of defensive abilities.Still it was his first official game and it was against propably the hardest opponent,he didn't do so bad.

Well, yeah, but he was meant to play there at Barca!! That's my point. It seems he doesn't feel comfortable that deep on the pitch, so I don't miss him so much

Im not sure about it,I tihnk as a central midfielder with a defensive midfielder behind him and not having the concerns of being the one to defend he would do fine.But from the moment Pep plays a 4-1-4-1 he will rotate mostly for that DM/box to box role and sometimes for the attacking midfielder role.
