Matic is a good player but I don't think he'd fit in well here.

As Andrew M said, his passing ability isn't great. If anyone watched the Norwich game yesterday, they'll have witnessed it first hand.

Some people blame Messi for not pressing, others say Xavi's decline is the problem, then we have the Alves brigade. I think it's a bit silly to blame individuals players... Pep himself said he couldn't motivate the players, as a team united we don't have the same desire to be the best. I think under the right manager and in the correct environment Xavi, Alves, Messi etc can all become world beaters again.

Its not easy as that. Xavi Alves are much older now. They have won it all and maybe dont have the same legs or desire anymore. You cant just switch on the hunger, the stamina back on like that.(Case in point Ronaldinho). Their best days are behind them.

Messi case is different. He's still young and maybe got distracted by the WC and the shitstorm around our club. But however special he is for us that attitude and workrate exhibited by him this season is not acceptable and he needs to be disciplined.

But yeah a change of mentality is needed at our club not only for the present but for the sustainable future success.

6 - Xavi Hernandez

On the face of it , it looks as though ALL our players are saving themselves for the world cup .- not just Messi

I remember Saurez saying about 6 weeks ago that he was terrified about getting a bad injury that puts him out of the World cup .
His form and goal scoring hasn't been anywhere near as good as it was Sept to Feb ....
