Watching Argentinians analyze the game. For the life of them they can't figure out the Dembele and Frenkie subs. And they're really trying. One guy proposed it was to rest them and he got shut down immediately.

It is mandatory 60th min xavi subs, usually is rapinha and frenkie but today he decided to play with betis heads a little bit and subbed dembele instead.

Also possible it was dembele cause he rapinha didn't say last game

Either way with or without the subs they were coming for Barca asses. Players are to blame, not the GOAT CM

Ignoring the level of opposition, the first 65 minutes were great from us. Some defensive issues but we were really good when on the ball.
The xavi decides we need to sub Dembele who was terrorizing the RB for useless Ferran and FDJ who was great at dm and breaking lines with the relic that can't move and it all went to shit.
I just can't understand his reasoning behind those subs.
Another thing. Lewa seems a bit off despite the goal.

Both De Jong and Dembouz were subbed off as a precaution due to some discomforts they had according to Xavi.

We might believe that for Dembele, even though he looked to not understand why he was subbed.
But FDJ, no way he had a discomfort. More so, in the busquets standard substitution minute..
Just bad subs from Xavi.

Exactly. Always questioned the discomfort explanation because some people said dembele looked dissapointed coming off.

Fully agree.
Ferran Torres should not ever put on the bench not in the pitch. This guy will be the worst transfer in Barca?s history. He has nothing to do with soccer maybe with the Luis Enrique?s daughter.
I somehow might understand who LE brought him in Spain team, but what is wrong with Xavi. Does he has a daughter too and this fucking guy is playing at two instruments??.It?s really ridiculous how much money Barca wasted on Torres. Absolutely outrageous.

Lol, Torres is a regular transfer that does not pan out, pretty common for most teams on fairly regular basis. I can find several Torres-like signings in all clubs really. The only reason it is more problematic for us is because of our financial situation.

Try to get back 30-50% of the sum paid, and move on. Nothing you can do but learn from it and try to not repeat this on future signings.

Then you have to know how to cut your losses and not continue to give the player minutes if they are playing really poorly.

We apparently had an offer from Arsenal for 30 million that we rejected last window when could've moved him on and not lost too much. But Xavi thinks he can get blood out of the stone.

relax, he could still up his level and be sold for more as the team improves. Just because a player is playing poorly doesn't mean he is banished from ever playing or some thing like that. Torres probably has the fewest minutes out of all forwards except for Depay this season.

If anything, club should improve at selling the players that don't pan out as expected.

He can play of course but he's subbing him on in important games where those changes really matter, and he will start when we have injuries or people are suspended.

When we were against Bayern or Inter or Betis now in the cup seeing him come on doesn't fill you with confidence. Ideally you want someone who can change the game not decrease the level of the team.

He could improve down the line, not impossible at all and he has some great qualities such as movement and pace. But as of right now he's too raw and technically poor to be a rotational piece in this team.
