If Ten Hag was on our bench we would have won. He's a proper manager with real experience, not some ex legend who managed a state funded team in a shitty league.
If Utd are bought by a Qatari consortium we and the rest of Europe are fucked. We just won't be able to compete with that sort of money.

I must admit, I really enjoyed this game even tho Xavis decisions frustrated me. Best game in 22/23 after the WC final for me

Juvenil A?

Alba played great vs Sevilla, then was rotated vs Villareal, played today, not a big deal. Alonso scored a goal, stop overreating. Some of the worst players in this game were the normal starters, like Kounde, Lewa.

Alonso scored a goal, and costed 1 which could have been 3 if they were taken by UTD attackers.
I would rather not have scored this one and have our defensive stability and not having our defense sliced at ease, because he played.
Simple as that

Alba was also a 'waiting to happen,' and he was just lucky the bomb didn't explode on his hands, as it usually happens in Europe.
There is no excuse on this: Alba should NEVER play important games against top sides. Good only for the Laliga fodder that sits in their box.

Then, since you pretend you didn't understand my point:
I am exaggerating to illustrate your faulty logic: If LL is his priority, why not play the kids?
By your faulty logic, Cadiz game is more important that the one just played.
LOL

Why would we play the kids? We didn't give this game away and went for the win until the last second.

We are trying to find the best options to carry a fight on 3 fronts. People should appreciate the team more.

I assume you have a rudimentary IQ to get this and you are simply playing contrarian just to annoy me,
but maybe you don't.... Sure you won't get any job in your life if you can't understand that simple thing

Working for one of the top pharmas/biotechs in the world these days, incidentally under the umbrella (broadly) of data science. My academic background is known around these parts in the COVID threads from several years ago. So, I would say I know a thing or two. My main issue with you, if we're being serious, is you are essentially the antithesis of what a person who applies statistics should do. You don't state/ question assumptions made in the methodology and you're entirely far too confident in your conclusions. To the point of being arrogant. Ask any serious statistician, and unilaterally you'll hear: Interpret with caution/context.

SHOT VALUE 101 for Dummies:
the value of a shot has nothing to do with how the shot ended. You can skyrocket a shot Infront of an empty net, or you bullet one in the top corner from the halfway line. The first is a big chance, the second is not...

Your assertion is there is no difference in value between off an on target shots. What you then proceed to do is provide an edge case scenario. Would you agree, that in expectation (on average), on target shots are more valuable than off target shots. Because the vast majority of off-target shots aren't "ones skyrocketed from in front of an empty net".

Notice how this relates to my above point. Too arrogant, not critical thinking enough.

I'd start strong and make early subs, but knowing us we'll start slow, and panic by min 60.

I think we should be giving Fati and Ferran more opportunities, and against Cadiz would therefore be a perfect chance to rotate.

Fact is, Busquets, Gavi and Pedri have all played too much. Hence the injuries.

How many minutes has Christensen played this season vs Busquets or Pedri?

Yet Christensen was the one who was sacrificed.

Christensen is known to be prone to injuries though. Gavi for example is very strong and resilient, doesn't get injured easily. Not all players are the same. You have to trust the manager in these cases.

Suddenly decided to rotate in a massive game against a top opponent, but only Balde, who needs no rotation at this point given how much he's been rotated already and is young (AND has Alba as a replacement) and Christensen. Lol. But not Pedri, Gavi, De Jong. Jounde, Araujo, who have all played like every game.

Can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading here

Fireable offence to start Alonso over Christensen as a CB in this game. No one in the right frame of mind would ever consider Alonso as a better choice. Some European success would do wonders for the confidence of the squad, but Xavi is just self sabotaging. Ended up having to fix his mistake by subbing on Christensen and Balde anyway.

Fair enough, but Busquets and Pedri are both injured atm as a result of being overplayed. I mean, how old is Busquets? 34-35? Yet he is the player who has played the most for us this season, right?

Beyond that, and this bears repeating, in which universe is Alonso more qualified to play as CB than Christensen against one of the most challenging opponents of the season?

Exactly. This is a fucking second tier European competition and yet we can't even win it or come close. And than 5hat idiot Xavi talks about getting pissed of hearing CL anthem because we aren't playing in it lol.
