The team will be under construction until the Nou Camp Nou is finished. I don't have problems with both scenarios. If Xavi stays, then the club saves a lot of money and Xavi can continue to develop the youth players.
If he leaves, it gives a new coach an opportunity to do better. But it could also be worse, as the club doesn't have any money left to fulfill wishes. I don't see many coaches in the world who could do a good job without players they wish for to be honest.
So let's wait and see what Xavi will decide. The important part is, that Laporta has to think strategically. Once the new stadium is finished, we need to be on top again.

What if Xavi stays and the club manages to find 60m+ to spend on 2/3 players.

Do you prefer to keep Xavi and prioritize who he wants to sign. Or bring in a new manager and let Deco sign.

If he stays and we're able to make three high quality signings I hope he isn't given the full freedom to handpick those players.

Also start working on Klopp or a new manager already. The only reason to keep Xavi would be to go after an elite manager next year.

If the club would have 60m+ to spend despite the spending on a new coach, I would probably prefer a change then. I don't like some of Xavi's signings much. I don't know how much he was involved in Raphinha's signing, but I know for certain that Ferran was his personally strong demand. Neither Ferran, nor Raphinha are Barca suitable. I don't say they're bad players, but we need a left winger with the skillset like Lamine.
That said, Gundogan probably also came because of Xavi's pull and he is the perfect signing. Easily the best player of the season. It's really difficult to make a good decision at this point. I also changed my preference of him staying or leaving a few times already this season.

Minor point. But worth pointing out we reportedly lost the Bergvall signing because Xavi led the deal and then stepped down.

What a pos Xavi is. Laporta, no words. After almost 2.5 seasons, NOONE knows what our identity is, what our best 11 is and what Xavi is trying to achieve.
I see no progress and a heap of bad decisions.
Th8s whole resignation drama looks like some stupid ploy dreamt up by Xavi and Laporta to deflect criticism from the awful football that we have to deal with.

If Guido and Olmo come, we shouldn't expect any trophies at all next season

Funny thing is we just lost to PSG and Madrid back to back. Out of Europe and the League.

Those mother fuckin' Catalan rags should be linking us to Pep, Leao and Rodri.

Even they have given up on hope in their rumours.

To be honest, my main issue is that due to clearly wrong decisions over the past few years under both regimes, the team has been led to a point where a win against Paris or a narrow loss by one goal at Madrid in Bernabeu seems like 'competing.' In reality, these results are hypocritically or foolishly portrayed as overachievement when the real underdogs are Girona, Dortmund, and Leverkusen, not Barcelona that has so much expensive, valuable talent along with a few proven stars. And now, we're still set to continue this foolish adventure with a coach who, after nearly three years and spending over 200 million euros in the worst possible way, still makes purchase requests for a team that has no tactical identity. There's money to waste by Xavi, but none for buying for Flick, Motta, Tuchel or even Amorim.

I honestly think that someone should start collecting signatures against Laporta. This management culture needs to change, or else there won't be anything left of the club to follow. The ruthlessness of this industry has long caught up with this team, and we still want to continue existing in it with our traditional values that haven't evolved.

Xavi just LOVES lying. He even fooled me on this one with his fake resignation. Didn't realize Fatporta loves being a gimp too, staring me in face whole time looks exactly like one. Someone should photoshop him strapped in leather ties, mouth stuffed, with Xavi whipping him, a gay gimp no less. This is just too sick too fathom.

I've been wishing for us to lose so this cancer gets removed from Barca, but alas it's still not enough. How low do we have to go.

I feel sick.
