Yan Couto

DonAK

President of FC Barcelona
What about Arnau Marinez then?
Or is he joining another Catalan side?:boss:

No clue tbh. Don't know much about Arnau in general

I think one (probably Couto) will play on the wing like when Ramos broke through at RB at Sevilla and Alves was moved to RM.

This could be it actually. Although would be a weird move from City's part since Braga wanted him back and he wanted to return to Braga whose manager said he was working with him on improving defensively so he could be a viable player for City. Would think playing RM/RW wouldn't put much emphasis on it.

From what I've seen they've mostly used 3-5-2/5-3-2 in Segunda last season so unless they plan to change a system I don't see how both Arnau and Couto could play at the same time. Unless one of them would play on the left but then why not just sign a LB/LWB instead?

Why would he join Espanyol? :p

City reportedly wants 40m for him. Would anyone take loan with obligation to buy?

Don't know how he would look here but would def take him over Cancelo. Not that I think we should have two very offensive FBs.

We have met with one of CAA agents yesterday btw, it is the agency representing him, along dozens of other players.

He has one year left in contract, I don't think he will cost more than 20M at most.
I am still mot sure he is worth it,he is a small offensive fullback tbh. I am not sure we can do well with those.

Would prefer him over Cancelo but won't happen.

Borussia Dortmund have made contact with Man City to discuss Yan Couto deal conditions.
BVB are not intentioned to pay €40m release clause, negotiating on price while Couto’s keen on the move.
BVB plan to invest around €20/25m as Sky reported.

Girona and Bologna will compete for being the worst CL side at this rate.

PS: I actually prefer Cancelo on loan over Couto, ge is better and more versatile

Problem with Cancelo on loan is there will be obligation to buy.

The same was said last year.
City doesn't want him, he doesn't want City, he has no market. They have no negotiation leverage. If we accept such a clause it is a loss for us.
We can, and we should, get him on lian with only buy option.

City will want to cash on him one way or another. Sure some PL clubs would pay for him and Juve reportedly also interested. So no way City will just let him go on another loan without including obligation to buy.

Juve aren't paying anything for him, and EPL has yet to show interest, What City want is irrelevant.
Atletico wanted to sell Felix for 3 years now, Barca wanted to sell Lenglet for 4 years.
