It says Arsenal need to decide if they are going for a move before World Cup... Explains the rumor that Laporta insists for star signings to happen before world cup(I thought why might Arsenal be so foolish to get it done before WC if they are to really part with FAb!!)

Zanela, I hate to admit but your prediction does seem very very probable now :(

if so, let arsenal pay cold hard cash for yaya!!
let them break the bank for yaya.
yaya is worth much more than their most expensive signing ever, eduardo.

you seem to have misunderstood me... there's gonna be a swap as I see it
Eduardo is not their most expensive signing ever, it's Arshavin for 16mill

No way he's going to Arsenal.. Who will be our DM then(after Busi)? Yaya's the best. Also, It would be clever to play him more in the CD position, if he can't compete with Busi. He'd be our next Marquez.

Ye, but filled with rubbish.

Eduardo wasn't their most expensive signing.

It seems it was Reyes. And there is no way Yaya will exceed that amount of money. Cause of the given situation at the club (he's not a fixed starter anymore) and he won't get a contract extension probably which means he's cheapeh cheapeh next year.

Wow, this site looks more rubbish than tribalfootball itself. ROFL at Reyes' 31.500.000 £ price tag

Is it not true? NOOOOOOOOOO, isn't there one bloody stats site that isn't rigged???

I think the prices on the site are adjusted to the euro value nowadays. I don't know what Reyes' his fee was back then, some say up to 17 mil, other say 24 mil pounds.

Anyway, Eduardo wasn't themost expensive signing and unlikely the bank will be broken for Yaya in the current situation.

Transfermarkt.co.uk is actually very good for statistics. It's the fastest to update from all the free websites, if you are looking for a site for minutes played, goals, assists etc., transfermarkt is THE most reliable, in my experience. You have official sites like ESPN but they barely display stats for many leagues or competitions, and update more slowly. Price tags though are just estimations of their market value, imo it might well be that they are the players' release clauses though i'm unsure, but that would explain elevated figures.

Apparently Reyes' transfer fee was £10.5 mil, rising to £17.5 depending on performances. I am not sure how high that transfer fee eventually rose too. But if you think about the fact that inflation has occurred, if he really did end up costing them £17.5 mil, even in today's weak pound it's €20.6 mil, it may have been much higher by 2003 standards.

Agent fuels rumors of Arsenal interest in Yaya Toure
The agent of Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure has told Spanish daily 'Sport' that Arsenal are interested in signing the Barcelona player, who is "90 per cent" likely to leave the Nou Camp this summer.

Toure has been linked with a move to Arsenal for some time, but his agent, Dimitri Seluk has publicly touted him in the last few weeks, with the Emirates Stadium clearly his favoured destination. It has also been rumoured that Toure will be used as a makeweight in a deal to take the Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona.

Seluk told 'Sport', "I think most clubs in Europe are interested in the services of Yaya Toure . In any case, Arsenal are interested."

"The player has a 90% chance of leaving Barcelona this summer."

Seluk also gave a surprising explanation for the limited opportunites given to Toure by Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola this season, saying, "Unfortunately, this season, Touré has not played as much as I would have liked. I think that this is due to a clause in his contract renewal. There is a major bonus if he plays over 60% of official matches of the season."

Seluk continued his bravado, commenting, "Toure is the best player in the world in his position"

He is so going
