We'll always have those dilemmas. Barca B will play at a higher level with their promotion so JDS and Thiago can roam from Atletic to first team. I would definitely want to see at least one of them getting a decent run with a first team next season.

Convincing a player to stay even after it seems he wants to leave is not always a bad thing. Look at eto'o. And eto'o is the most sensitive of characters. IF there is a u-turn, the IF and ONLY IF it involves pep saying ok he's staying, and he's going to be a part of my plans, then we should welcome it. Time changes things..yeah he is probably on his way out but dragging it on isn't necessarily a bad thing in my opinion.
