Yaya Toure

You have to play to a certain level in order to justify more football, Yaya failed to do that yesterday in my opinion and Sergio won't be sweating over his place given the stuttering performance of the midfield in Jerez.

I dunno, tho.

yaya was monumental in that last 15 minutes.

I still think pep sees them as about equals and picks them depending on the opposition and situation. yaya's only not played one CL game and that's coz he had the flu, so pep obviously likes his experience in europe.

Sorry Meta but he wasn't monumental, he did some routine defensive cleanup work against the worst side in La Liga, probably the worst side in the last five years of La Liga, that is all.

I didn't think he was good but I didn't feel he was bad either. The midfield as a whole was bad but that's what you get with Keita and Yaya together. I'd hope he plays at Depor at the weekend, he needs a run and considering why Biscuits is suspended he doesn't deserve to slot straight back in.

Xerez forward movement is actually quite good though, it's just the end product and finishing that lets them down. Build up wise they move the ball around pretty well and have done all season, even at the Bernabeu.

well, he was monumental in comparison to the previous 75 minutes.

tbh I did forget that xerez are fucking awful. :D

Better than getting sent off against Madrid, sorry.

but that was a mistake in an otherwise fairly decent performance.

yaya just simply wasn't very good.

in any case I'm thoroughly on the fence here. busquets is awesome and the future so I'd like him to play loads but I totally love yaya and would hate to see him leave.

so yeah, I dunno.

busquets is not cut out for the big games. however, toure won't be either if pep keeps preventing him from playing regularly. he better play against kiev and espanyol. our strongest midfield is when xavi, iniesta, and toure are together, we've seen this over and over again!

on the big CL match(kiev)
and not drop him for busi..
but i’ve been proven wrong before, like against inter and RM…he played busi..

If he's not cut out for the big games how come he's excelled in about half a dozen of them during his short career?

Busquets is 21 ans pep's favorite. It's just a matter of how long it'll take for Sergio to assume a regular DM spot.

I hope Yaya plays in Kiev. Unfortunately I'm 90% sure Keita will play, which won't help anything. Yaya wouldn't have headed backwards for Depor's goal.
