Yeah and also because they keep showing the goals they scored instead of their tackles, interceptions etc. I remember everytime I watch Balon D'or gala, they always show the goals that Xavi, Iniesta and Pique scored. It's so stupid.

There is a decent length YouTube video showing his defensive qualities for Columbia against Uruguay - jaw dropping

Years ago I bought the Glen Hoddle DVD expecting to see all his amazing long balls / passes and there were none . Just his goals ...and the times he he had to play in the goals .

He's been spotted at the club's offices earlier this day.

He's far more talented that Varane and has potential to be more lethal than Ramos in terms of scoring abilities.

It's a harsh reality for Madridista's to face, but it looks like our FOURTH CHOICE CB will surpass their starters in the very future.

It's rather pathetic how far they have fallen.

Sad!

My main concern about him is he doesn't have any real experience. The Brazilian league is a joke, to put it lightly. I seem to remember Marlon being the next Thiago Silva and even Jamdav of all people thought he was quality and compared him to Abidal... but look at him now. I want him to be a success as he's young and appears to be solid in the air, but all the highlights I see of him all have something to do with his on the ball skill, which are completely irrelevant. In the back of my mind I feel like I've seen this exact scenario play out before and as of now I'm not expecting him to live up to the potential.

Marlon was warming the bench for Fluminense. Was called the New Thiago Silva while at U21 and U19 teams. Comparing Marlon to Mina is like comparing Vincius Junior to Neymar.

This guy is the best CB in Brazil. Starter for Colombia ahead of Davinson Sanchez. Doesn't mean he'll succeed, but you cannot compare him to a guy that was a young talent, but struggled to start and at times even get in the squad for his team.

I've seen even rival fans of Palmeiras like Corinthinians supporters vouch for his quality which in South American football isn't something you see every day.....
