I don't think we'll buy any centre back soon. Silva might have the quality, though he doesn't speak the language. We really need someone who can communicate with Pique and get along with him. Not only on but also off the pitch. Best option would be a Catalan / La Masia product. Fontas or (who looks like the bigger prospect to me) Marc Bartra could do the job. I didn't write off Muniesa as well, although injuries forced him back.

Midfield is overloaded. Xavi, Thiago, Cesc, Iniesta, Busi, Masch, Keita, possibly Afellay too. When Keita retires, we could get Oriol back. Also Espinosa, Rafa, Samper etc. will probably all come through the ranks in a few years. I doubt we'll invest much in midfield in the next decade. At most for a Keita type of backup.

After Villa retires, Deulofeu will most likely be ready.

Conclusion: I don't want anyone. Looks like La Masia will be enough.
