Oh absolutely CA, on both counts.
Laporta will probably have put in the same arrogance as some of us here on the board regarding Arsenal.
And Pep didn't look at any point of his coach career as a long contract man.
But still, I don't think Arsenal would have sold anyway, Laporta is a twat for doing that but it was never going to be an easy or cheap transfer, not even without Laporta, so he was as wrong about that as Joan himself.
It's the same feeling I have with those debts, exagerating every thing that can be seen in the light of debt and making it sound huge. Making sure EVERYONE has read Barcelona need a 150 million loan or whatever it was to show what a mess it is he has to work in (despite claiming to have a war chest of 90 million of course)! Now asking an audit by Deloitte to, once again, publicly show what Barcelona has become under Laporta.
I understand he has to do that being the new president and given his history with Joan, and I don't blame him for doing that at all. But he won't get my sympathy and benefit of the doubt until he stops with that, and being almost at 1 August, a month after officially taking the reigns, it is about time he stops with that douchebaggery. I don't think anyone really believed Laporta's non-flawed image even before Sandro became the new president (For me the situation is just bad, like at any other club, and Laporta of course went crazy in his last year, no doubt about that) ... but let's not forget, Sandro has his negatives as well. Only Laporta is the one to counterbalance it with a huge silverware list. We're waiting for that, Sandro.
So from August on, I expect Sandro to stop bitching about Laporta and start thinking about the club instead of that rivalry and his egotripping selfishness. If not, he might just well become the same attention whore Laporta eventually was.
