Zubizarreta: “We respect Valdés’ professional and irrevocable decision”

Improvin' Perfection!!
Rumor was out already and any team receiving a bid for quality GK would've known what's up. What he did was to steal Marca and AS of a bunch of cover stories for the next few months.
haha! you're one hell of a positive guy man :)

He could've dealt with it without telling the media. But, by the way he was treated ungratefully in the past, he probably was just too pissed.

I meant by the media and fans. Doubting him and questioning his abilities after all these years.

Barça can't take the blame for what the media writes and about the fans.. People in Barcelona have always rated him highly. Real Culés have always appreciated Valdés a lot.

Of course, which is why I said he could've dealt with it better. However, being the only player in the best team in the world not rated by most people for his technical abilities, even though he is a veteran, it can be a motive to leave. I'm just trying to see it from his point of view.

What is the reason for all this confusion? Raul left, we wished him the best. Guti left, we wished him the best. Cule insecurity is just too much. Pep left for more money elsewhere, why can't Valdes? He has given you a lot more than what you deserve anyway and he is done. I wonder what you will call Messi if he eventually decides to prove himself in Serie A with Inter Milan (you know Zanetti and Cambiasso will send him there eventually). He will go from Messiah to Judas.

Valdes owes you nothing, he is going to pursue other challenges and that is that.

Raul and Guti's cases are not the same, not even close. They were sent away, and you know that. Anyway, I don't think anyone is mad at him for wanting to leave, just the way it was handled. He is free to do whatever he wants. But yes, he owes the club. Barça made him who he is. That's why a little respect would be nice.

If you checked the posts carefully, You'll notice that most of us were bothered in the timing and the press leak that he allowed, Not that he decided to leave barcelona.

This. And just because Madrid doesn't care about their homegrown players and sees them as mercenaries doesn't mean Culés should.
