Lewandowski's ball control was untouchable in his prime. You're comparing current 36 y/o Lewandowski with prime FC Barcelona Suarez. Blind to the fact that old Lewandowski is still banging goals in LL and CL. While I touched a bit on this topic already, I'd like to add another reason why the favouritism is obvious - on one hand, the traditional love, tenderness, empathy and reverence that's just ingrained in German people when dealing with Poles, and the Polish trust, awe and gratitude towards Germans built over centuries on the other. It's just sparks of delight and rainbows of friendship, love though platonic on first sight and meant to last for years, and no Pau Victor Delgado can compete with that, he's from Spain, can you imagine. 37 years or 52 years old, it's always the ski over ado, meat sousage over rice paella, and the bombastic Warsaw over frank Madrid.
