The opponent was also bad dude

You don't understand.

This Madrid was there for the taking, and the best Simeone could do is defend

You don't understand that the opponent is bad because of the AM approach on the game. Against City, the same opponent created chances for fun. Can't put it in any simpler terms.

City have been a disaster this season.

Real have struggled to score lately and front line off form.

Could see it clear as day today with way Vini looked leggy and poor 1v1 for example in situations usually biggest threat going in.

Also you ignore fact the game was effectly a draw and both playing in relatively cagey way.

Yeah, gonna see how easily are Arsenal and PSG gonna handle them. Maybe you're gonna tell me they came back into form in 14 days.

We are leading the league, doing extremely well in the CL and that's all I need. I don't give a shit about Madrid, they aren't winning it this year no matter what. Luck and robbery helps a lot, but you can't live on it. There NEEDS to be a glimpse of good football and some team chemistry. There was in 22 and 24. The fuck is there now? They are playing like complete morons and it's the important part of the season when they are supposed to turn up.

Arsenal also can easily knock them out, no doubt. Madrid will need a lot of luck once again. Against PSG I think no luck will help, same against us in an eventual final.
Have you not learned anything over the last decade?
They haven't played well ever and have 5 UCL.

That's not true

In any of the last 5 or so CL wins they haven't been this bad, disorganized and little motivated

Those teams that fluked it were running on mentality and friendship as well. With Mbappe's arrival there's no more of that, you could see it today how every galactico expected the other to do something.

They are not winning it and it's only about whether they get knocked out by Arsenal, PSG or whoever they encounter in final. All 3 possible options have a seriously decent shot at it.

You tend to play poorly offensively if you face a top tier defensive unit in adverse conditions. Barcelona under Pep also happened to play poorly vs Inter in 2010 at home, or MSN Barca in 2016 vs Simeone (0-2). Peak Klopp also happened to play poorly offensively on their ground in 2020 (0-1). Or Pep's City in 2021 I think (0-0). Notice the 0 for conceded goals by Atletico at home vs those elite teams. There's a simple logical connection as to the reason that happens. It's not because those teams are off form on that night out of some random event.

Never this bad. They were an ugly winning machine.

Their current team is filled with flaws and their defense is a big fat joke. Their defense is the kind that you associate with clubs like Tottenham.

Their midfield is filled with cloggers and doesn't have the technical ability a Madrid midfield should have.

We have been saying these kinds of stuff for a long time. Every year it's the same.
I am just assuming if don't meet them, they are going to win another one this year.

Here's the explanation:
Since the ball has a sensor for semi-automatic offside it can detect when it is touched and it showed he touched it twice.

Even without the sensor the slow mo replay CBS Paramount gave clearly showed the ball was raised with his left foot before his right foot struck it.
