Nah, we got Lewa because we were in a rut. Barca under normal conditions would never buy him. We'd go for a younger player.
And no, noone should run for Lewandowski.
It's the ultimate joke for someone that can't run to brag about his fitness and abs.

I remember him being argued as a better prospective striker than Lewandowski at the time he played for Napoli, and then never-ending debate who Man United should aquire for their striker. Lewandowski left for Bayern a year later. I think he went to Man City.

You're talking nonsense. I was going to keep quiet, but I have to. Lewandowski left, they bought Sadio Mane for 70 million, they got about 45 for Lewandowski. And what? There were no fireworks, they sold him for 25 million and bought Kane for 90 million. Even he doesn't score as much as Lewandowski. Balance? 90 + 70 - 25 - 45 = ???
Take Osimhen for example - wow what a striker he was supposed to be and what? He lost 1/3 of his value in a year - heck, playing in the best team in Turkey his results are worse than Krzysztof Piątka, who is not even Lewandowski's equal and plays in a much weaker team than Osimhen.

Nah. Full well know how he repeats how he is in great shape and takes care of himself. Shows off shirtless in every other team photo.
Basically entire team works for him and his goal tally. He can't hold his own pressing so is a liability defending and doesn't make his teammates better as can't assist. Pick any odd player from any team and likely to have more assists than him.
He's a one trick old donkey benefiting MASSIVELY from the system.
As long as he is quiet (stopped yelling at Yamal) and scores he is tolerable but sure as hell Barca could do better.
Could talk about his inflated wages too. Would free up space for 3 good players easily.

I think that a lot of strikers could replicate Lewy's numbers but Lewy's intelligence is the box is something I'm not sure anybody else could offer in the current market
You can see how often he drags the defenders away for others like Ferran to have space (I talk about the goal against Atletico that brought us back)
Nothing so complex but it takes some experience and intelligence to pull it off at the right time and opportunity and not just go for the ball all the time

When will you finally learn that the word striker has definitely different meanings. There are strikers who dribble brilliantly but cannot execute the action, there are those who have many assists but do few shots, there are those who do a little of this and a little of that. You can't compare Lewandowski to Mbappe, for example, because these are two different player profiles. Lewandowski is effective and if someone denies this, I will assume that instead of a brain he has some jelly, because a player who has scored 40+ goals for 17 seasons without a break is a good striker.
Of course, he has his flaws - for example, his movements are often so chaotic (he waves his arms, etc.), he doesn't have the speed of other strikers, he doesn't have the technique of others, he doesn't have the jump of Ronaldo. But he has something that has made him the top striker in the world for a dozen or so years.
You can call him a Polish tractor, and actually think that it's a compliment. The tractor is used for hard work, for working in conditions where other machines cannot cope. So, Lewandowski also works... and kudos to him for that!
As long as each tractor works, it's OK. If it breaks down and no longer fulfills the tasks it was designed for, then it's replaced with a newer model. Simple!

Current Messi would have more goals than him still if here as false 9, and who knows how many Yamal would have in addition. If it's a choice between rags and GOAT next season I'd still pick GOAT. But the real solution is a young striker.
