21 - Frenkie de Jong

"Frenkie de Jong is showing many defensive flaws that an FC Barcelona pivot cannot afford"

Sport already coming for him, bring up wage bill, potential sale and casado.

Luis Garcia said it best in the post game I watched he's a great player in space and passing the ball around, but not so much as pressing or being pressed.

But TBF sport needs to chill a bit with this

Barca media are in two camps as on here.

FDJ didnt defend the first one well.

Other media were plastering how he won ball back the most in CL QFs etc.

Flick and other coaches are clear.

Those media will mouth off about Casado being mightly missed when Barca have improved significantly without him being a starter.

I know the credibility and intent of some the press sources might be questionable atimes, but even the blind, except of course, the village buffoon, could see he was poor defensively recently. I am a staunch backer here but I think he has been below par. At least Cassado brings those intercepting tackles defensively and make an average of 2 key passes in a match. FDJ has been poor at both ends in the last 2 matches. I am hoping he picks up soon

Shhhh!!!.. watch out, the "village one" will respond to this very shortly. 😆 🤣

They asked Flick was it his intention for Frankie to stay as a last man but he didn't really answer. Said they analyzed it and that we needed to keep the ball better.

Overhated to a silly level. Might captain us to a treble. My guess is people here will hold him responsible for any trophy we don't win and ignore his contributions for any we do win.

More like his fanboys will say he's a top 5 player overall this season in anything we win. when he's more like 11th or 12th and I mean that seriously with no hate

Every single one of our outfield players have been better than him this season and contributed more to any success we have and Tek is Tek.

So he's with casado as the 11th or 12th best player this season.

Pedri/yamal/Raph top 3 how ever you want to split them
Lewa
Martinez
Balde
Cubarsi
Olmo (injuries)
Kounde
Tek
Him/Casado.

I think you have underestimated Cassado's contributions to those galloping successes at the beginning of the season. I also initially thought Cassado was vastly inferior until i went back to watch some of the matches he played. U dont often get a newbie bench player being so audacious and visionary as he got(tie breakers in Classicos and other matches). Some of his through passes were breathtaking and his combative interceptions/defensive contributions surpassed that ranking you have accorded him up there, in my view.

Overall, I still thin FdJ is a more experienced player(not necessarily better going by performance in recent weeks) but Cassado is really undervalued here. I am impressed.

I agree, I could probably put him on par with olmo due to how incredible he was during the first half of the season and both probably playing the same about of games.

I just dropped him down mainly due to him being injured so he's missed a few games.

Come on, man. That's hate. LOL

From your list, I think he is easily ahead of Ohlno, even Cubarsi.
Agreed, Balde and Inigo are ahead of him.

If you can only name 2 players Max, then how is ir hate? 😂.

And he's definitely not been better than Cubarsi this season. Or olmo.

But even if I agree that's him being 9th lol

His fanboys will try to squeeze him in the top 5 I guarantee it lol.

He'll be 7th.
Raph, Pedri, Yamal, Lewa, Inigo, Balde.
We can argue if he's better than Cuba, I believe he is, but still.
I think 7th or 8th is an apt spot for him.
