Good game again.

Is maturing this season and helps when has more options in and around box even though still needs to get better on that.

Guy needs breaks, but our backups are dogshit so he has to play almost everygame.

Its a double whammy for us. Not able to rest him enough, his form dips because of that. Not having good enough player to keep him in his toes, he still plays.
Well atleast he's been stepping up lately. Hopefully he keeps this up till the end of season.

pros: he is a one wing army. playing alone up and down sprinting the flank back and forth all game. covering and collecting the slack (last game he failed once vs griezman) from flicks suicide offside trap. getting the team out of high press constantly through dribbling (which he is one of the best in the team).
cons: 100 one footed. his crosses are not good. he over commits to beating on the outside and cross.

Hoped he would do better against Griezmann in the second goal.

Also, most of the attacking was done through the right flank.

And can his crossing ever improve?

He started to improve under Flick, but he still has much potential. Physically he's already on top tier level, his runs are eye candy, but he needs more football IQ. Positioning, crossing especially. Let's hope Flick will continue to make him better.

He has great potential. He has this natural ability to accelerate past opponents in 1 vs 1 scenarios. He does it effortlessly when he accelerates.

Already said months ago his confidence is back and more comfortable on ball and dribble

A lot of work still needed on crosses and poor positioning sometimes defending near box.

Extremely underrated. Covers two positions on the pitch.

He needs improvements in crossing and decision making and he will be unplayable.
