Liverpool

Look at his signings. That's where he got his reputation.

His only L was Keita, who was a great fit for us but was screwed by injuries.

Chelsea, United and other big clubs were desperate to sign Edwards.

This.
Only one L (Keita) over a period of so many years,

and how many Ws?
VVD,
Mane
Salah,
Firmino
FAbinho
Allison
Robertson
Konate

And all this while keeping net spent super low.
Imagine Barca having an SD of his caliber...
We wouldn't have gone bankrupt

Expected this for a while now. Need Frimpong.

I am sure Slot is clever enough to work around his tactics to suit a totally different player, like Frimpong

It is still a big blow for Liverpool:
homegrown lad,
world-class level (not defensively),
he still chooses to go...

has to be said: the pull of Madrid and Barca is unmatched by any other club in the world, not matter the state

Whatever the opinion on the player, acquisition on a free is a big L for Liverpool anyway you look at it

Yes, he’s overrated but it’s a net loss in sporting and financial terms

Frimpong would be a great replacement but still a heavy financial burden to bear on balance even beyond PSR/FFP

He’ll have moments at RM but success in mid to long term goes through catalunya

It's a big L for FSG
Always stringent with the money, refused to invest big, and are now losing on a free a player made by Liverpool

It depends if they will know how to use TAA. If he'll be their main creator and the midfield will cover his position when he leaves RB position then it could be leathal. He'll be a liability in defence either way, we should explote that with Rapha next season.

I think it's pretty stupid from TAA point of view. He could be a Liverpool legend but he'll throw it all away to be just another player in Madrid (potentially even a flop).

Many people can expose him.
He is a disaster defensively

But you also have to see the other side of the coin:
TAA is WC playmaker, he will make Madrid's attack leathal with his long precise balls from the back to Vinicious and Mbape
Yes, but we can all see how much they struggle with a defensively unreliable RB (Vazquez). They already have enough attacking power, what they lack is a real style of play.
