I didn't watch the game, but that is shocking. He has two options there. Personally I would have passed to the guy furthest to his right (looks like Ferran Torres but impossible to tell on this still). I know he isn't as confident on his right foot but it's a simple pass. If he plays it a bit in front of the player then it's an easy tap in. The pass to the player in the middle is on too though he has less of the goal to aim at I feel due to the goalkeeper's presence if goalkeepers shifts left. But if either players shoots near the far post it's a goal either way.He had absolutely no reason not to pass here
But even though he had a bad game, as most of you are saying, I wouldn't worry too much. He has played well all season, been one of the key players, and has credit in the bank. He just needs to get his head right and do the things he'd been doing up until the Argentina game. I don't think that game 'got in his head' or anything - we can all speculate about that. But even if it did he will get over it and now he has almost two months of the season left to do what he does best and create carnage in the opposition defensive third. He needs to maintain his best form as in terms of scoring goals Barca can't win anything without he and Yamal fit and firing on either side of Lewy. They're the two integral attackers.
Edit: company of cules different still makes it look like he was off balance (or maybe he'd just turned inside, it is hard to tell without seeing the actual move in motion), and as he says, maybe lacked the vision to see them in the heat of the moment. Stills can be deceiving, but I still think a quality forward player at an elite European club should be making the pass to either player. Standards are high.
