35 - Gerard Martín

Christensen is a quality passer of the ball, great header at set pieces and pretty fast (34.5 km/hr top speed) + got CL championship win experience with Chelsea so if not use him as RB, would play him CB next to Cuba
Still, all those wouldn't make you the go-to LB to plug the hole n this situation. Flick's FBs play higher up. Doubt Christensen has that flexibility for such.

I doubt very much that Valle, Fort or Torrents would be so bad, Flick didn't handle the LB sitution well this season and it could cost us trophies.

I think he'll play Martin all the time until Balde is back but I would try else, there are many options if you don't look to narrow. Gavi, Araujo, Eric, Torrents or Fort could do a better job there.

Cant blame Flick.

They left him with Gerard as the back up as couldnt afford anything else.
Can blame Flick, about now Flick could have called up somebody from Barca B because we're witnessing a tragedy with Martin on the pitch.
Sure, we didn't play very well today and of course Martin isn't the only one to be blamed - but at least all other players mixed fuck-ups with some alright stuff and even some great stuff, Martin ONLY had fuck-ups and fuck-ups is all he ever does.
Something must be tried against Inter and other games until Balde is back - play Ara with Cuba and Inigo as LB, or Anderas on CB or even LB, or bring Torrents from B, or Fort on LB. Against Inter away, we can't afford to play Martin and it's to late to try Torrents - leaves us with Inigo, Araujo, Christiansen LB/CB... than give Kounde an even more of a free role on RB (like he already does to some extent).

But than again, Araujo also fucking suck

Fort did get a shot under Flick, but when he did he played very poorly...or do people not remember?

Martin is dogshit, and Fort can't be any worse but let's not act like Fort showed anything that warranted a spot. Played a few good games under Xavi, but can't count that since playing well in Xaviball should count against you not for you honestly.

No, it's absolutely Bumsi's fault, he prefered Martin over Valle. And Fort played his best games under Xavi as LB too.
A LB under Flick plays differently from under Xavi. Coaches are different and so their expectations.

Xavi wanted his wingers to stick to their touclines to widen the attaking space for his inverted fullbacks. Flick uses them to run the lines.

Flick might not see what he liked in Fort.
