I don't think our squad on paper is all that far off from any team in the world right now, probably 4th or 5th best. If we end up losing a close game to a top3 team fair I guess but would hope we are aiming to win it, not a r16 finish.

We already have the tools to win LaLiga without making any further signings. Kounde or any other big ticket CB would be a cherry on top. But as of now, we have great starters and depth everywhere except full back (GK excluded as super thin market right now to replace Standing)

He's weak, he has a great mentality but that doesn't make him strong. Which is to be expected at 17 though would add.

Our squad is good enough without Kounde. An Araujo-Christensen pairing is just fine and even up there as one of the best.

That's very true and our peak was a beautiful thing, but as fans we have sat through season after season of disappointment whilst supporting this club recently and watching every game so tbh the fact we were once unplayable doesn't give me much comfort in the present. Longevity is more important...

Don't think Iker Bravo has a thread so will put it here. Apparently Leverkusen already want to sell Iker and are going to send him on a 2 year loan to Atletico's academy with an option to buy. Doesn't seem like a great sign they already want to transfer him on pretty bad terms after one season.
