Would argue on pure talent it's the best. The difference is many of these guys haven't played together much, and some are very young so it might not produce the full capability it can do yet. But on pure talent we have so so much.

It's not worth playing to his strengths and accomodating his huge weaknesses anymore. He doesn't add enough. Even his passing has significantly slipped over the past year, and his press resistance/ball-retention went from world-class to disappearing. All he does now is dive at a slight contact...

Is he at his best though? Or anywhere near it? At this point there is hardly anything special about him at all. Last season his passing wasn't even that good. 88% pass completion over the last year.

Busquets is no more 'unique' than any other DM is. People are adding fine nuances to his game and position that don't actually exist. No player is a perfect replica of another and every player has different characteristics, that isn't just exclusive to Busquets.

Dembele was also top assister of LL despite starting like 15 games in the season. I believe he will still be a starter next season. And Auba scored like 12 goals in 15 games. Those two fit really well with Xavi's football and they'll produce a lot.

We could get 20m from him but likely from clubs he won't want to go to like Newcastle. If he goes free more likely better clubs will take a punt on him so assume that's why he's asked (on top of free agent perks re contract).

If he wants to leave free we should let him. As mc_lovin mentioned earlier in this thread he gave up a lot of free agent bonuses to come here (low wage, short contract, no signing fee). So the right thing to do would be to let him go free so he can obtain the good contract he would have gotten...
