For the first time tonight I can understand the Gravenberch Vieira comparisons.
Maybe not as aggressive as Vieira but there is defo similarities in terms of style.
It's mind boggling he played so little last season looking at him here
It shows the bias against RL9 (and Flick) when he got vilified over one poor performance in a friendly vs Monaco but him tearing up La Liga for almost a third of the season is dismissed because it’s not a Clasico or big CL match.
KL might not admit it but he definitely missed you. I caught him keeping tabs on your redcafe account while you were gone.
You also missed an epic Mara v Jamdav debate. Started at around page 294 in Manchester United thread…
Still you’re judging him by Cristiano standards not by the other players on that list.
Those 3 pre-prime years were better than the peaks of any other player on that list. His worst of those seasons would have been a career year for most of them.
08/09 was only underwhelming by Ronaldo standards of those on that list.
Compared to Rooney who is 3rd on the list, that would be a top 2 season of his career and maybe even best if CL is included from the seasons.
Recent history suggests Bayern will fuck Barca here, but this is the first time since 08/09 when Barca has the better coach.
Would go for a narrow Barca win if at close to full strength, but think Flick will have to settle for a draw due to the injuries.
Sums up how biased the media is to have Ronaldo that low when he should easily be #1.
Of those 10, an objective order would be: Ronaldo, Henry, Salah, KDB, Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, Vieira, Silva.
Xavi trying to pretend he's happy to see Flick doing well and exposing his excuses and acts of sabotage.
If Flick was struggling, Xavi and his entourage would be leaking to press trying to undermine him.
