    10 - Lionel Messi - v4

Ronaldo > Messi Messi should be ashamed of himself. Real needed Ronaldo to step up yesterday and he scored a Hatrick. Barca needed Messi tonight and he went AWOL. Sell him to City in the summer and be done with it.

    Lliga | Round 30: Villarreal - FC Barcelona 2-2

    Jeremy Mathieu

Please explain how he specifically lost us the three points today?

Barca draws Atletico de Madrid in CL quarters!

We obviously have a good record against them, but there aren't many teams that Lucho doesn't have a good record against... Realistically Real and Atletico are the only big threats. I would consider it an upset to lose to Bayern now. Yes they are second favourites, but that is only because Real...

Barca draws Atletico de Madrid in CL quarters!

Put your tinfoil hats away. Worst possible draw for us. I think Atleti are the hardest team to beat, and that is disregarding the fact that they play hack-football, and will probably cause a few injuries.

    CL | 1/8: FC Barcelona - Arsenal 5-1 agg.

I'd say that's a bit unfair on MAtS. He is young, distributes the ball excellently, and he is also a good shot stopper. He might need to work on his decision making, but you can say that about almost all keepers, even Valdes was susceptible to making mistakes occasionally.

    CL | 1/8: FC Barcelona - Arsenal 5-1 agg.

No. That 'what if arsenal weren't shit at finishing' argument does not make sense. Do you think we would still be playing at a walking pace if we had lost the two goal cushion? Even after they brought it back to 1-1 (3-1), we raised it and scored another. I'm amazed you seem to think we were...

    CL | 1/8: FC Barcelona - Arsenal 5-1 agg.

We played the entire game at a walking pace and won 5-1 on aggregate. We never had less than a 2 goal cushion. There is literally no point in tiring players out and risking injury. Get a fucking grip.

    Marc Bartra

That is an extremely naïve way of thinking of how young players develop. Minutes/gaining experience is what develops a players careers more than anything. Not giving them a legends shirt and telling them 'No pressure!' with a pat on the back. If we were serious about wanting Bartra to be our...

    CL | 1/8: FC Barcelona - Arsenal 5-1 agg.

You should start crying now. I hope we play well tomorrow, will be a good morale booster for the squad at this point in season if we have a convincing victory.

    Jordi Alba

Wow, I feel dumb. As for Ivanovic, I don't think his performances early this season are good grounds to judge him, considering how terrible Chelsea were overall.

    Jordi Alba

IMO alaba is the best LB in the world. Last season he managed to limit Messi pretty well over two legs tbh, it was just the sheer class of Messi that made him unstoppable at the camp nou. I wouldn't consider marcelo to be better than alba though... I think Ivanovic is pretty under-rated...

    New Camp Nou

http://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/attn.htm ... Moaning about the second highest average attendance in European football? OK. Also the more fans that get to go to big games the better.

    Munir El Haddadi

I guess it's speculation. But I would argue that Munir gets a lot more, and a lot easier goal scoring chances, given he is surrounded by the best team in the world when he plays... Suarez was the best player in that Ajax team. I'd really love to see Munir play at the level that 20 year old...

    Munir El Haddadi

Obviously he doesn't get as many minutes. But the minutes he does get he doesn't perform that well. Pedro and Bojan both showed much more promise at his age. I don't dispute his usefulness as a squad player, but to say he will eventually replace Suarez is reaching a bit.
  16. klc123

    Munir El Haddadi

Based on what? He gets much more and much better chances in Barcelona than Suarez ever got at Ajax.
  17. klc123

    Sergio Busquets

I'd argue that he's the best midfielder in the world. There isn't a DCM in the world with as much technical ability and tactical awareness. I don't think any midfielder in any position has such an influence on their team. Barcelona with and without Busquets are two completely different things.
  18. klc123

    Munir El Haddadi

I don't think Munir will ever be the same quality as Suarez unfortunately. He is already the same age as when Suarez was scoring 20+ goals a season for Ajax.

    Jordi Alba

I can't think of any occasions where he has been shaky in defence, but you're right that he hasn't being giving as much going forward as in previous seasons. To say he isn't top 5 is a bit of a joke in my opinion. What 5 leftbacks would you say are currently better?
