Is there anything yet on la liga's reaction to any of this this? Or any other club's? I have no clue whether Messi leaving would actually be enough of a hit for la liga to reconsider anything, or whether that's just fans' talk.

Not a play, but the pressure is there. The question is more whether there's any chance la liga will do anything about it, or let it slip. Doubt Laporta wouldn't sign Messi if the situation changed.

The thinking (or hoping) was more that there's no way this does not add an insane amount of pressure to la liga/Tebas from more sides than just Barca with a chance (albeit unlikely) that a solution could be found with more flexibel rules, not so much that they are pretending.

Would that surprise you, at this point? The levels we have fallen in terms of seriousness and management in recent years, this wouldn't shock me. And I don't believe he is leaving, yet.
