I remember that summer. We had just won the treble and Pep was obsessed with Chyggy and Ibra. He grabbed Henrique and Kerrison too. What an absolute waste of money. :laporta:

Good point. This all started with Pep being obsessed with getting Cesc back. It is getting harder and harder to buy Pep's shtick.

He either doesn't respect the fans or doesn't realize that it is us who are hurt by this feuding and disrespect. Pep is a smart guy so it is very hard to believe the latter.

    Thiago Silva

I doubt we will do that but i think it is a needed tactical evolution if we're going to play with Alba and Alves on the wings. Atleast we should have the flexibility to do it at times. Busquets is good at dropping into the backline, but it would be much better if he had more freedom in...

Nice. Maybe even throw Cesc at the false 9 with Messi and Neymar making runs beside him.

    Barca revenue to drop

Nice. Really like how Rosell has turned the financial situation around, despite my hate for the jersey advertisments.

Montoya can play either fullback position defense oriented. If we sign a CB and Bartra develops, it is possible to deploy Masch back in midfield. Either him or Song would make a nice defensive pairing to Busquets, freeing Sergi up to play the Xavi role.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

Well said Messi. Hopefully this sinks into Thiago because he is set to get a lot of minutes with the club this year.

Martinez played excellent against us, probably their best player. Wish we saw more of him paired up with Busquets for Spain. Not only are there more mouths to feed in Bayern's midfield, they are a younger group.

It will be interesting to see the reaction of the media over there when Thiago is taking minutes from Kroos, Muller, and Bastian.

Sure a coach can have a big influence but y'all are really shortchanging this historical group of players. Just look what happened without a healthy Messi, the greatest ever. . I don't see too much difference between Pep and Tito though, setting aside the disruption of Tito's illness...

Yeah, this whole rumor seems to be crap if you look at the original link. Barcastuff irks me with his sensationalized translations....

losing to anti-football was like getting punched in the nuts repeatedly. Absolutely crushing. Just my view though, to each his own.

Yes, Pep was very conservative in matches like that. I just hate Chelsea so very much. Not a lot of problems with Bayern though since they've always been my dad's club. I think Tito deserves more credit...but I'm afraid his cancer will continue to hinder them. The team was absolutely...

Meh. I was more humiliated by having his poor tactics and lack of a plan B making us go out against Chelsea. I wasn't too embarrassed about getting beat by a clearly superior team like Bayern, regardless of the score. Maybe that is just me though. At least we won the league and won it well.

It was a great time but he wasn't the biggest part of it. I am bitter though, admittedly. His best season was his first when the tactical changes were small. He pushed this "revolution" too far but left the club when it started to unravel.
