Decent atmosphere considering it's two brand new clubs.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

One of his poorer games this season yet he still scores a hat trick and gets an assist.

    Mohamed Salah

Pretty interesting that De Bruyne and Salah are both playing some of the best football of their careers after leaving Chelsea. Maybe sitting on the bench and never playing at Chelsea has motivated them to go on and do great things.

    Radamel Falcao

He has to get his next move right. I still think he can recapture his best form for another season or two. His career is a tragic example of the damage third party ownership can do. For a striker of his quality to have only played one season of Champions League football in his whole career for...

    Xavi Hernández

Sweet cross for Neymar's second. Reminded me of his cross for Messi's goal in the 2009 CL final. Picked his spot and nailed it.

    Edinson Cavani

He can bang in the goals when he's on form. And he's the perfect Simeone striker really in terms of his style and workrate. You could see Simeone getting the very best out of him.

Him and Masch actually had a few of those runs each. They burst through Man Citys midfield on a couple of occasions.

    Sergio Busquets

He really has to cut out these stupid attempts to win a foul at the edge of his box. He has been caught out so many times this season and has already cost us a goal doing it that you'd think he'd have learned by now. Otherwise, his form is pretty good. EDIT: You'd think he'd get told off for...

Massive game from him tonight. One of his best so far.

    Andrés Iniesta

We're only really getting into the business end of the season so we'll see about that. I think when you take into consideration his performances against Atletico this year and tonight's game, then it's still a fair statement to make. In a way it's frustrating because it shows he's still capable...

CL: Barca - Man City 1-0 (3-1 agg.)

That penalty miss was a bit of a downer. Would have been a great way to cap off a really great performance. The first half the best we've played away from home in Europe for years. With the miss though, there's no chance of complacency in the second leg which is the main danger.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

It's pretty fascinating to see someone as good as he is struggle with penalties as he does. Safe to say he's back to his best overall though. Was ridiculously good again tonight.

Showing up for the big games as usual. Was absolute class tonight.
