The Arthur hype is ridiculous, he's had some tidy games, that's all. He's far from a player that can lift the team. Maybe his passing can develop into something special.

He's not far more technically gifted, people would be disappointed with that part of his game if he came. The crosses and goals are great, but he isn't particularly great in tight spaces or at dictating play.

Arthur isn't some massive upgrade on Rakitic against the elite teams, he's also completely meh. He does some important things better and some important things worse.

Arthur coincidentally played very well. Valverde's effect is overstated, some players might just be overrated.
