I wouldnt mind seeing Perdo receieve some recognition since he doesnt strike me as the type of guy who would let it get to his head. He has exceptional workrate and finishes well, but I suppose it's hard to stand out in a side with Messi, Villa up front.

I voted Essien from the games I've watched although I acknowledge and expected that Makelele would be leading the voting. I just felt that Essien was immense when he was at his best above others mentioned in the poll.
