    Real Madrid (old thread)

 I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they want.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I see. Well, in that case, you can take heart from the (talent-wise) so-so Liverpool team of 2005...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I'd just like to point out for those saying Real can't catch up to us next year, that they don't necessarily need to. Recall that this season, going into the second clasico, they had the chance to reduce the lead to 2pts (correct me if i'm wrong). While we utterly dominated La Liga, Real "kinda...

    Yaya Toure

    Well, there's Zlatan....still I love Yaya

Now it's just becoming too much fun...

    Filipe Luis

Guardado is excellent...as a winger, don't see him doing much defending for Depor. Also, i'm happy with Abidal but he's not great one-on-one against skilfull wingers. So long as he gets defensive help from Henry/ Iniesta, he's fine though. Tbh, there aren't that many great defensive left-backs...

    Maz's review of the season

:clap::clap: Well done, maz...I know you had lots of fun writing that and remembering each precious moment during the season. I understand how for many Culés, the 6-2 win at Real was the highpoint. But for me, Iniesta's shot still brings tears to my eyes (I re-watch it everyday)...the...

    Sebastian Giovinco

Hey now, i'll stand up in defence of all 5'4" guys! :smug:

    Edin Dzeko

I'm yet to be convinced by him myself, but i think those who want him also like his technique, finishing and aerial ability. And to get a sure thing usually costs more. So it's always nice to pick somebody out right before they're a sure thing...of course we need people who can properly evaluate...

    Alexandre Pato

I would think he's the most untouchable player at the club. No way they lose both him and Kaka.

    Pavel Nedved

Maldini was probably Milan's best defender this year, Del Piero is still quality, and Nedved was important this season. If you want a better example of an old player getting in the way, look at Raul...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Strangely enough, I agree. I was more scared of Diego at Madrid than Kaka, CR7 or even Ribery. He's still young, and scary good. Also, I'm sure Pellegrini would be able to find a formation to fit Kaka.

    Bojan Krkic

I think he also has the same stats as last yr: 10 goals and 4 assists in all competitions. Take that as a positive or negative....

    9 - Samuel Eto'o

maybe you can't tell from that video, but messi was the last one there...yelling in sammy's face.

    Diego Forlan

    Names? I really question this.

    Bojan Krkic

I hope Bojan is our first option off the bench next season, at all 3 attacking positions. Btw, does anybody know if he will be with the Senior team at Confed Cup, or at the under-20 World Cup? Confed Cup could be a good experience for him, but I'd almost prefer if he's at the U-20s where he...

    Alexander Hleb

Perhaps we should come up with a word for people who are great in the EPL, but suck in La Liga, or vice versa. "Hlebbism"? Or perhaps "Luque-ism", or "Colocciniation". Other suggestions welcome :D For Serie A, I propose "Samuelization"

    Positive Thinking Cules

*It's the end of the season and we won...everything! *Not only did we win, but we left doubt that we were the best team in Europe. *We are being applauded worldwide for proving (once again) that beautiful football can be winning football. *We have 3 of the top 5 players in the world (possibly...

    Sylvinho

Yep, my only concern was that he would push too far upfield...but I should have known he's too smart for that in a final. Someone said he was crying at the end of the match...i didn't see that tho. I felt very happy for him

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

Perhaps Messi is suffering from the same treatment that happens to most great players...when they simply have a "very good" game instead of an outstanding game, people are disappointed. I thought he played well. That goal was actually a brilliant header. I read an interview after the game, where...
