Would be of no use to bench Ter Stegen if Team Lucho favourise Bravo. If that happens then Zubi should just take the decision to loan him out and have Masip as 2nd keeper. When you buy a such talented player like Ter Stegen then you better have him in your starting lineup or else his confidence will take a hit and his potential would be wasted in the end. Would be better off elsewhere in that case.

I hope that doesnt happen though............

Zubi said on MAtS' presser that when they started scouting him in 2011/12, they showed him to the then gk coach, who was impressed by him. If I'm not mistaken, that was Unzué at the time. So I do think they approve of MAtS. Saying that I don't have a good feeling either.

Yeah, Unzue replaced Carles Busquets in 2011.

1 guy for la liga and 1 guy for both CL and copa. Mats should get la liga thing and it makes sense. Less pressure on him too. No elimination from contest if some mistake happens and bravo is more experienced and can take the pressure. But all thus talk are just assumptions. Let us wait for the season to start and then judge. But it looks like bravo is lucho signing and mats is zubi signing. I hope they both sort it out and think what is best for the club

Not much about him after the presentation. Enjoying his holidays in peace without the media following him it seems, the way it should be.

I personally think that this could be a solution- although MAtS has proven his reliability in the CL against Kiev. On the other hand he is used to the league's daily routine and young enough to learn even from the atmosphere in Camp Nou sitting on the bench and watching a knock-out match!

Looks like MAtS will wear the #1:

There was no number on his seat when he had his presentation, so it can't be leftovers from Valdés.

I looked up some save statistics (13/14) since clean sheet is unconvincing:

Neuer 80,2%
Courtois 77,3%
Valdes 76,9%
ter Stegen 76,2%
de Gea 69,9%
(Average German GK) 70,2%

I also found some interesting things about ter Stegen:
- He is #18 in overall possession statistic in Bundesliga (by far #1 under GK in Top 5 european leagues)
- #2 interceptions in Top 5 european leagues
- According to 'Opta Sports Statistics' he was the best GK in europe last season
- Pep Guardiola called him a "world class GK" and that one "must congratulate Barca if they can sign him"
- He would never ever put on gloves someone else touched xD
- 100% two-footed
- In Germany he is called 'the Mini-Titan' because his charisma reminds of Oliver 'the Titan' Kahn
- Won the 'Fritz Walter Medal' in 2011 for beeing Germanys greatest talent born in 1992 after Götze won it in 2009 and 2010

I watched some games in full length in Bundesliga and he is a beast in the air. His footballing skills are extraordinarily good and he shows some awesome reflexes on the line. For me the only negative point is that he quite frequently let the ball bounce back to the mid. In addition to that sometimes his one-on-one dribblings outside the penalty area in the corner flag are too much for some fans :D

If he's anything like Oliver Kahn, I would cream my pants. Kahn was by far the best GK I ever saw and top 5 all time for me.
