Sport has a special vested interest when it comes to FCB goalie beef, no? I wonder if they're still mad the MAtS transfer saga last season was revealed as completely made-up. ManCity and LFC managers denied contact, Kloppo even confirmed the club is not considering replacing Mignolet during a filmed presser and instead of just letting go of the story, hell-bent Sport journos continued linking him to Anfield like nbd

Anyway, this is today's dramatic cover:

Press being press in neoliberal capitalism.
No moral responsibility, no sensibility.

As long as clicks go up they don't care what happens.

There is more blame on the press and media on the whole as they are influencing people.

Your line reminds me of drug dealers favorite line: "Don't blame me, blame the demand".

Well, about to get interesting

MD claiming that player is talking to the club atm regarding the player's future and offers he's received this summer - intimating that if he isn't given assurances of an improved role, will force transfer despite club's insistence that he is untransferable . Bravo waiting in the wings to do similar.

Rulli is a ManCity player afaik.

Bravo and Marc must both stay unless their buyouts are activated and we can't do shit. Luckily, both have quite high buyouts, MATS is at 80m iirc and don't even know about Claudio.

Is the MD writer or source reliable? The transfer news seem to have cooled down a bit so they might want to come up with more shit to sell papers.

It's legitimate and not really news per se but looks like since the player has officially rejoined the team, wants it made clear

If it's reliable then MATS might be out as I don't see Lucho liking this. One has to go for sure.

Lucho may not like it, but When Mats was signed he was promised the #1 spot with Valdes leaving. so in that regard we cannot be upset with mats. we just didnt know that bravo wouldve turned out to be reliable.

The wishes of luis enrique in this matter is irrelevant, Yes the coach wishes should be respected in 90% of the times, But in this situation the club should make the final call.
It's wrong to believe that every action the coach takes is for the better future of the club, Every coach views every season as his possible last one, Coaches aren't obligated to plan for the distant future of the club, That's the sporting director job, Almost all coaches plan for the season at hand, When a coach asks to fill a need in the squad, The sporting director will attempt to find the best way to fulfill the requirements of the player he needs while making sure the player can have a viable future beyond the coach, Just look at umtiti, Digne and gomez.
Enrique is likely more than happy with the current GK situation, And doesn't feel obligated to change it, Even if it means marc leaving, And his decision is in no means for the better future of our squad, Only for his needs, For all he cares, He can leave next season, and then it's our problem to find a long term GK.
