Absolutely no need for Mats to rush out, but it seems that he was bored and he just waited for a moment to dribble, act like Neuer or similar.

If he stayed on his position, Malaga's striker would need to dribble past Roberto (and probably past Pique till then) to actually take a dangerous shot at our goal.

So, he turned a slightly dangerous situation again into a highly dangerous situation with his rushing out.
The same as risky passes, risky dribbles in previous matches.

I am starting to have a feeling that Mats has some psychological problem and that he can't play it safe and simple.
He is just too eager to make an incredible pass, incredible dribble, Neuer-ish rushing out etc.

A showboating disease, simply said.

Should we also say that this was the best one-two, quick-combination, first-time passing play from the whole game? And that it came from Malaga? Should we? Or we'd better keep quiet about it? Too late... I already said it.

MATS is a lucky guy. Whatever fuck up he may have, you just know he'll have God Serena. I mean it was so bad even mark1nhu had to admit it.

Don't know what you're talking about, I always admitted his fuck ups, except for that pass that you believe was Mats' fault and I genuinely believe it was Busquets' fault.

It's frustrating how many times I need to ask guys on this forum to "separate things" and stop being "black or white" on opinions.

This forum would be much much better if people were able to objectively take the good and the bad in consideration before loving or hating any player.

I am not giving up on Ter Stegen yet. Plus, who do you go after? There are no better keepers out there who are realistically available. Is Trapp better? I don't think so.

I think nobody expected for him to be such a huge flop. I mean we knew he wasn't Bravo, but he's declining in his performances instead of taking it up a notch. You'd think that after the regular game time he's getting, and which he and his fan boys cried so much for during the last 2 years, it'd be different. I think number 1 spot was just too big for him.

Maybe we should look for someone young and promising so that he can be the Barca GK for the next 10 years.

It's getting to the point where I can't stand him.

A decent striker would have scored on him and the game would have been lost.

Mistake, after mistake after mistake. Oh but he can lob the ball 30 yards to a player...I don't even care anymore.

Unless he turns it around and starts performing at the level so many including Barça, German NT GK Coach, Bundesliga followers since his Gladbach days etc...expected him to perform and realize his potential.

Might even take Courtois at this point even though he's not that great playing the ball out of the back
