I can't be alone in thinking that Ter Stegen isn’t an elite goalkeeper. Certainly he makes fine reflex saves and yes he is decent on either foot. But otherwise...?

He is less comfortable on a cross than Jesus Christ. His handling is mediocre - he spills more than he catches. He passes the ball to the opposition. And I think he is generally sluggish and even a bit clumsy

Of course this nonsense about wanting to be the best paid keeper comes mostly from his agent, but if they are really holding out for a mega pay-day. I say sell.

I am not happy with this guy either and i dont care if he renews or not. He is just not there when he is really needed. It felt like every shot on target went in when we played against better sides. He is just not a big match keeper. There is a big gap between him and neuer.

The timing of his surgery layoff is unfortunate, because the last game he played is the Bayern disaster. Once he comes back and puts in good performances again, I suspect most will be back on the Ter Stegen train.
