I think any new signing is a gamble. But he won't be the only keeper. And hopefully Zubi will help him a lot, as he seems to have handpicked MAtS himself.

You don't seem to realize that I have no problem with the player .My concern is the way we do things. Since our scouting had decided he is the one to replace VV we should have bought him last summer. This we way he would be eased in the first team as VV sub and become a starter (if he was up to) the next year. Instead we'll throw him to the Lions just like we did with Bartra last year in the CL against Bayer.

Big risk imo . There is a huge difference playing for a small German team than playing for Barca.And then there is the difference in language and one of the most judging and demanding audience. Hope he manages to cope with everything.

I can't say I have followed the player very much myself - but from what I have seen of ter Stegen playing he does appears to have an impressive passing game and generally looks to be (a possible) replacement for Valdés.
