In 94 games for us in CL, EL, CWC he's conceded 115 goals.

Courtois conceded 3 last night(should have been at least 5), but haven't heard anything other than how good he was.

yes, because he made multiple big saves as well. Arsenal would have scored 5 or 6 without him.
Give me one game in the CL KO stages where ter Stegen had multiple big saves like that in the last five years.

Arsenal basically beat him 5 times, if Alaba and Bellend weren't on the goal line to bail him out. What next? Arsenal would have won 7-8 if not for his saves? Maybe he can hang that on his wall - "didn't concede 10 vs Arsenal".
Stegen had many good saves, but as Barca was poor as a team that's irrelevant. No GK carried his team to a CL. Sure, there were some very good performances, but if their team wasn't all that good it didn't matter anyway.
What legendary KO performances have Oblak and Alisson(exclude PSG away 2025) over the past 5 years?
Not saying that everyone is at the same level. But Stegen being called consistently shit and the likes is just hating for the sake of it.

Once again, his awful performances are justified by rest of the team being shit too. Whataboutism, the most obvious indication of lack of actual arguments.
Defense last few years has been terrible, no doubt. And has he ever really stepped up to help us when defense was stinking it up? To make some good saves, deny the opponent when defense gives him a on opportunity? But in the CL against proper footballers, not in the league against Getafe. This obviously says that while defense was shit, he was not good enough to at least minimize the effect which is why we reached truly embarrassing low levels.
So in short, he's mentally weak and overrated in shot stopping ability, he can perform just in the league and centrebacks can't rely on him as he gives off absolutely no confidence. Shit goalkeeper that should be nowhere near this club and for whatever reason has a few people still praising and defending him.

Sometimes you wonder if a lot of the hate he gets here stems from the fact that Messi doesn't like him.
I don't rate MATS that highly but people here talk about him like he's the worst goalkeeper in the world.
