I think Flick won't change the winning streak of Tek in the final part of the season. But it will also depend on the training we don't see of course, if MAtS will show a good performance there or not.

Can't we have a season of peace after a decade of terrorism?

With our former coaches MATS would walk into the lineup, hope Flick is different. Hope his looser aura don't impact the team even if he doesn't play.

It was already said that Barça won't nominate him for CL because otherwise Tek wouldn't be able to play there anymore.

Let's see if MAtS gets some Copa or La Liga games, but I doubt Flick will change that unless there is a reason for it.

It's good for MaTS to have a goal. And Woj might bring the best out of him as he hasnt had a competent 2 in a while.

But yeah, work his ass off and then for next season, let's go.

Maybe we win the League then he can have the last games as a courtesy.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is nearing a return from injury, but if he's cleared to play in the Champions League, UEFA regulations would require Barça to choose between him and Wojciech Szczesny, as only one can be included in the squad for a given match, according to Article 31.14. Article 31.14 of the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League Regulations is unequivocal: “Once the injured or ill goalkeeper is fit to return to play, he or she may take over from his or her substitute. The return of the original goalkeeper must be announced to the UEFA administration 24 hours before the next match in which he or she is scheduled to participate.” Via:

Can't see it happening either.

We discussed it before. MATS back at no.1 spot is insanity this season. There are 9 games left in La Liga and Tek has been delivering very solid performances in the last couple of months. I'm glad MATS finally has some competition in goal. Haven't been the case since Claudio Bravo left, and even then Lucho simply rotated them depending on La Liga or Copa/CL games.

Sadly Pena can pack his bags. The Barca chapter is over for him.

Is he currently registered for La Liga? Didn't we de-register him from the competition there as well for Tek?
In that case there's no chance he plays again for us this season, nor should he.

This isn't a Lunin v Courtois situation either. First of all Szczęsny is a better GK than Lunin and ter Stegen is nowhere as clutch as Courtois has been in his career.
