According to Valdes it's to try new cultures etc but let's be honest Monaco isn't exactly a totally different culture.
Some people have speculated that he is leaving due to a lack of recognition. He doesn't get the credit as a goalkeeper that he did before the Pep era. I posted a good article about it on the last page/2pages ago.

People always see things so black and white. As Povikas said, for all we know Monaco was the only decent offer he received. Then what is he supposed to do?
Other than that, do you really believe a 31 year old player who is a starter at his childhood club all of a sudden decides that he wants to "experience new cultures" ? It's possible. But I think there's a lot more to it than just that.

Ive never had confidence is valdez, him wanting to leave is also kinda dumb cause its gonna expose him more and probably get benced for the rest of his career. He is good but not great to start for a world class team , monaco is a good choice but i am sure they wount be satisfied with him for a long time.

Please watch the video posted above. He won three Champions Leagues with our team, while being amazing in all three of them and he is in my opinion in no decline. He will be a success in every club he goes and I am afraid that Barca fans like you will understand how amazing Valdes was, only when he leaves us.
I am sorry but you sound ignorant and the fact that you don't even bother to see the title of the thread to write correctly the name of our most successful goalkeeper of all time and 5th in all time appearances makes it even worse.
