Don't know what makes anybody think that 20 year old GK from an average Bundesliga team will make a decent sub for Valdes,You gotta be kidding me.

Why do I get the feeling that Valdes thinks we fans should be grateful he's staying another year?

Have you seen him play? If not I don't think you are qualified to make such statements. Just because a player doesn't come from a top club doesn't mean they themselves are average. I do agree that I feel he might be a bit too young to be ready to just be dropped into Barca (why I'm pushing for Marchetti instead) but the other part of your statement makes no sense to me.

Lol this average bundesliga owned other leagues this year. Especially Primera. You gotta be kidding me. Have you ever watched Bundesliga match? Or even Borussia Monchengladbah? This guy makes amazing saves every game and he's very young for a goalkeeper(that is plus in our case)

Ter Stegen, from what I gathered, is a great talent in games like Fifa13 and Pro. So, either this forum have a lot of posters that have a difficulty to distinguish the difference between a video game and reality or there are a lot of random guys from every corner of the world that have the vice to watch mid-table German teams in order to discover talents, that nobody else knows.
FYI, the German posters of this forum all agree, that his season was not impressive at all and probably a downgrade compared to his first one. He definitely has talent, but after only two professional full seasons, it is crazy how many posters here consider him our savior and probably a better goalkeeper than VV.

What dad? VV said today that he wanted to clear everything together with the club, but then Zubi continued to lie about his contract renewal so VV decided to make that statement. So again, there's no need for lies and name calling..I think that's the least a so called cule could do these days.

So if no one is dumb enough as our club why do you think that he's leaving? Is VV even more dumb?

To my understanding of what I get from the press his father and his agent are the ones that gave the news of him not renewing …
Zubi said things looking good

So the club were trying to keeping things calm and quite at least to the end of the season but
When an agent breaks news like this at mid season then he is after something especially
while the player still has 1 and half year in his contract and the club was in talks with his father
and his agent at one point even if they didn’t start the talks why stir up $hit that
might end affecting the team at a critical point .

If VV, dad and his agent had good intentions about him leaving they could of waited to the end of the season but they
were twisting Rosell and Zubi arms to get what they want...I think they did the same to Laporta and ended up getting
insane salary for him that I think no one is going to match it...This is why he was in Monaco and came back saying
he is staying to the end of the contract.

I think you should look at this

Yeah, it is indeed rational not to sell a goalkeeper for 15M when you got the chance and watch him leave for nothing after the upcoming season. You're absolutely right. It's not like Ter Stegen is way more worth than what we'd get for Valdes if they would sell him this summer. There would still be enough money to buy a world class CB.

1. Don't patronise me thanks, and 2. How the hell do you know what money Barca has?

1 - I'm not doing anything. If you are not able to handle criticism and a bit of sarcasm, don't respond. 2 - By reading the papers. You should try.

If Mr. Valdes loves the club so much, the first thing he can do is to not leave for free.

In the worst case, Barca could've used Valdes for a deal with a Goalkeeper that is pretty much the same value as him, and in the best case, Barce could get couple of millions from his sale. not only will this decision cost us a clean profit of 10-20 million Euros the next summer, but it will postpone the integration of the new goalkeeper (especialy if it's a young keeper). Thank you, Victor!

It's funny. the departure from Abidal, a foreign player that plays for the club for 6 years made me emotional and sad, while the departure from Valdes, a Barca home grown player that plays in the club for 20 years will pass me by like a summer breeze. great goalkeeper, small man.
