1 - Victor Valdes

VV is a crazy batsard... no way in hell he is gonna do that. I think it's just MD's wishful thinking in the hope that Stegen would drop out from the move(thereby clearing the way for Courtois?) if they spread the rumor that VV decided to stay back

No way. The deal btw Ter Stegen and our club is already done. You can consider the later as a Barca player right now. Only the official announcement is left.
Beside this, I would love to see Victor staying another season. He can't leave the club the way he did it last time he played…

There are rumours that Monaco are not honouring their pre-contract agreement.

As in rumours like rumours. Not confirmed or anything big yet. No need for a meltdown.

To be fair then it wont be a very bad decision if he renews for another year and works on his recovery while leaving in the winter transfer window for example. He may help ter Stegen settle as well.

Yeah we should of got Ter Stegen last year to intergrate grrrr he would of been more useful than Pinto going into CL quarters and Copa final with Pintolol.

VV made his decision ,he needs to be a man and stick to it
The way he left the club isn't the best way tbh ,rejecting to renew and announcing his departure 1 and half year b4 it happens and in the middle of the season?now after signing (we know it is a done deal) a new GK and after he get injured he wants to stay?
Even if this rumor is true VV shouldn't be here next season ,I actually think that this change is for the best ,he will find a new club ,may be he should lower his wage demands if Monaco aren't interested

Lowering his wage demands? Isn't the real reason he's leaving Barca because he gambled money away with some speculative investments and Barca didn't budge to his huge wage demands? Obviously the "new cultures" and "burned out" thingy is hogwash as he was in contract negotiations and Rosell (or Zubi) even publicly claimed everything is going according to plan at the time and then all of a sudden the negotiations broke down. If you are burned out and decided to leave why start negotiating to begin with? Last I know he's so desperate that he even released a book about stress management to make money. lol

I read some things in a spanish paper saying VV gave his older brother charge of his company/money, and his brother lost a lot, so he was going to monaco to get money to pay the debts. I have no idea if this is true, though.

Of course it would be his own fault but I don't wish Victor to have such problems. I like him and it's ok that he leaves because it seemed to be his own wish and we found a goalkeeper who could start his own legacy at the club.
But he never upset me and I always hate how nearly everyone I know extremely underrates him. Especially this season Victor was immense.

I hope he does well wherever he goes and maybe he will come back one day to help the club in another way.

Well the karma of losing all that money then going to a tax free haven to get it back really sucks for him right now. Missing the world cup, Monaco backing out perhaps. Shitty.

It wouldn't suck having him around for another year or so for practical reasons, but FCB shouldn't accept this, it's a matter of principle. The timing of his announcement to leave was selfish and bad for the team (observe Tata's style in dealing with such things recently), and the idea to leave itself is kind of weird considering who he is and the club he plays for. Let alone the bullshit he claims he's leaving because of. I'm not denying he's had his share of great performances, but let's face it, Valdes has been the laughing stock of Europe for years. Ask any non-Barca fan what they think of Valdes and I guarantee you that the majority will think he sucks. And then he leaves the club that kept him around and made him who he is, and with a dose of arrogance and talking about being under pressure. Give me a break. His brainfart with DiMaria, for example, cost us a title and I don't even remember him being criticized for it publicly. And now, if these rumors are true, Barcelona is supposed to offer him to stay, after he turns his back like that? No, thanks. Goodbye and don't let the door hit you on your way out. Barcelona lost much more with Abidal leaving, and we're now losing even more with Puyol leaving. We'll do fine without Valdes. It will take some time before the new squad gels together and maybe they'll never again reach the heights of the 2008-2012 team, but it surely won't be because Valdes isn't there.
