1 - Victor Valdes

DonAK

President of FC Barcelona
You'd think he went to Real Madrid and shat on the club going by how some react.

I hope he signs for a team after his injury has healed 100%. Might also get that Monaco money if it's true that they didn't honour their contract because of FFP rules and used the injury excuse just like that to save face.

Can only wish him the best for his future and whichever team he'll eventually play for. Was a key part of our success.

It's a 2 way street. Club believed in him when he was youngster and he won everything on backs of Messi and co. He held club practically at ransom with his renewals back in Laporta days.
He's Barca legend but definitely not up there with Puyol in my book.

So much hate for a guy who has been at the club for 19 years. He is 32. Was he suppose to stay at Barca forever? What if he wanted to experience a different country and culture?

And if his financial problems were true, was he suppose to live in debt while playing in Barcelona making less than what he could be making abroad. I hope he takes Monaco to the cleaners and gets his financial situation fixed.

I know we as fans love the guys but they're humans with real problems.

Serves him right. he could have left even by signing his contract so that barca gets the money spent on Mats n/or bravo.
All of a sudden there are keepers like him and cech on the market. i hope same will be the case with CBs too.

Please, can we not be so petty? Valdes is human, like us. And, like us, he has his problems in his life. While the way he announced his departure was less than satisfactory, that is no reason to applaud Monaco for not honoring his pre-contract.

This. Can't believe there are Cules who express schadenfreude toward Valdes. Regardless of what he has done for us (for which we should be thankful), his decision to leave and move on should be respected. Maybe he was fed up with the board, a sentiment that many of us can relate to? Maybe he just wanted to try something new. Whatever it was, there was nothing, I mean nothing wrong with it.

Take care Victor, hope you find peace and a place to play football again soon. Best wishes.

How can we blame our last season's failure on Valdes?

For telling his knee ligaments to rip themselves to shreds. But in all seriousness, if Valdes had stayed fit, we would have won at least La Liga. GUARANTEED. Pinto starting hurt us big time, not to mention the fear of having to play Oier if Pinto went down injured too.

Yeah. But Valdes would be the last person to want himself to suffer a torn ligament.

I know we are just joking.
