10 - Ansu Fati

Never liked low (football) IQ speed demons type of wingers. Dembele fits into that category as well although his decision making improved under Xavi. He's also 10x more talented than Abde.

Abde is probably already very close to his full potential with little room for improvement.

Would definitely sell for 10-15m but doubt anyone is even willing to pay that much.

Don't know if that's Ansu best role though, being on the left.

Even before injuries, not enough speed, doesn't dribble well enough to offer any solutions against an attacker.

Better suited close to the main striker as a second striker imo. A role we may not need when Roque is here.

And another one of those positions we don't really utilise like the Griezmanns, Coutinhos, Joao Felix.

He broke through on left and his best form has been on left since end of season/pre season.

Looked lost playing as second striker when came on v Getafe.

Also Xavi wont want a pure 'second striker' in there anyway will want more of an AM/second striker who can get involved in build up at times.

Fati has been connecting well with Balde.

Fati looks much worse when restricting his movement and taking ball facing backwards.

Ansu should be played as a left-sided inside forward (closer to goal/Lewy rather than a touchline winger) with an overlapping Balde.

Playing Abde also negatively impact Balde's offensive impact while as Jammie said he connects well with Ansu.

Got fair bit of stick but thought he was better and a bigger threat than Gavi in that AM role when came on.

Still bizarre that he and Balde had started to build up a good understanding on the left but Xavi not gone near it in first two games.

Abde is too erratic and doenst combine at all with Balde on that left hand side and Balde doesnt look comfortable when has whole left hand side to deal with and no wide player as in first half today.

at least 2 good opportunities wasted vs Villareal not mentioning Caditz.

Over confident Pride with his 1st, 2nd touches, volleys, etc

And the dumb fuck commentator said Fati lacks confidence.

Went from scared last season to lackadaisical, as if not caring enough this season with half-arsed attempts and no defensive work. Still believe he could find his best version, but starting to doubt if it can happen here. Xavi wanting to ship him off makes sense, at the moment he's a hindrance every time he comes on
