Crisitina is way more effective than Leo in away games, got to give her that
That's not a very effective comparison. Teams don't park the bus in such a strict fashion against Madrud as they do against us. It's difficult to penetrate any parked bus but the task is made harder playing away from home on small/poorly tended pitches designed to slow disrupt our play. CR generally has more space to work with playing with RM. You can't read too deeply into statistics as they only ever reveal part of the story.

lol, you are forbidden on this forum to make any comparison with Leo that doesn't glorify the already glorified player. And if it is Ronaldo, then you committed a massive sin.

Thank You, Myrm

Dude, I'm a Messi fan as well as a Barcelona fan, and I watch virtually every match. I know fully well he's been outstanding this year, absolutely incredible. The only thing I miss is his best dribbling, or at least that he tries more. I think it may be to conserve energy, but we really need it. Like when he scored vs Real in the CL last year. We'll see at home where he's actually much better. The two next matches are the most important matches thus far this season, and we have to win both. To me, I haven't really seen his best dribbling form for a while, I just hope it comes now.

So if that youtube vid someone posted didn't convince you, maybe this will.

2011/2012 Top 10 Dribblers in La Liga
  1. Lionel Messi - 4.8
  2. Jefferson Montero - 3.6
  3. Joaquin - 2.8
  4. Marcelo - 2.1
  5. Isco - 2
  6. Iker Muniain - 1.9
  7. Iniesta - 1.9
  8. Cristiano Ronaldo - 1.8
  9. Vladimir Weiss - 1.7
  10. Cani - 1.6
Seriously, I get what you are saying about Messi not moving about as much (if that is what you meant by "try more"). If you decide to stick around, you'll learn why that is. He is getting played in every game and hates to rest, so Pep has to force him to walk around (rest) while on the pitch so as not to overexert Messi. The other players have tracking back responsibilities whereas Messi only goes for the ball when he is close. It also bodes well for us in the final stretches of matches when we need a goal and he is energized still while defenders are spent.

^This

Messi hasn't moved about so much maybe, but it clearly has worked: 63 Goals and counting.

Look at the match v Chelsea. He was involved in the majority of our best chances via passing or just his runs that ended with a chance for others.

I know it of course. I've seen pretty much every match since 2007/2008. It's just that his best dribbling FORM isn't quite there. When he's at his best in that deparment, pretty much all his dribbles succeed in a match, and he can have some long runs past 3-4 players even. It's the type of technique form where you have so much control even in small spaces, that you won't lose the ball in any situation (not 100% ofc). I'd say I'm a pretty good dribbler on MY level, where I can play Messi-like, and when I have that form, it's comparable to him when he's got it, of course him doing it on the highest level possible. There's a difference when you have that form or not, not all people will see the difference, but I can see it when he has that form and when he doesn't. Easily.

An example of Messi being in that type of form, is last year in the matches against Real Madrid and onwards to the CL final.

He has tried to dribble and we can see that he starts from deep most of the time but when he gets the ball and when there 5 players surrounding him there is nothing much he can do and he is not trying to save energy in some games he used to bust into the box late on in the game to score when it we are winning that shows is hunger for the game.
