That's really pushing it a little bit to far... I agree that Villa could have helped us greatly and that his absence shouldn't be overlooked, but one single player doesn't make that much of a difference except for Messi himself...

^true, but leo can't do it all.. without the support of a competent striker it is just unfair of us to expect messi to deliver both la liga and the champions league.. its not theabsence of villa per se that is costing us- it is the absence of a supporting, competent striker that has foiled us this season. leo has been at his absolute beastly best and despite being so close to victory on all fronts, thanks to him largely, we find ourselves still behind in la liga and down in the CL

I am concerned about one thing. Where is the dribbling?
I don't think he's been at his best level in terms of dribbling this whole year. It might be because he dribbles so much less, that when he does, it's not at the same level. In these past couple of weeks, I think his dribbling form has been poor, and I hope he knows it, because we really need his best dribbling to unlock some tight defences. Please Messi, fix this. Of course, he's been wonderful in all other ways, but I started to really watch Messi because of his dribbling...
