I'm agree with you! Messi deserves better player in the attack, next to him. It happened that Messi let out the chance unfortunately. He didn't have luck. I'd like Messi as a big game specialist!
So we need Neymar? lol I would love to see Agüero next to Messi, but its probably impossible.

Alexis is sooo :shit: he can't pass, can't dribble, can't score. I don't know why Tito starts him. When Villa will be back on top form, then Sanchez will warm the bench.

He isn't good enough for Barca. Villa/Messi/Pedro is the best attack in the world.

Can we blame him? His supporting cast back in 2009: Henry and Eto'o. 2 of the best strikers of their generation. His supporting cast nowadays: Tello, Cuenca, Sanchez, Iniesta etc. I'd be frustrated as well having to play 1 vs. 6 defenders in the final third of the pitch most of the time. Messi didn't score from open play against any big team since the Champions League final 2011 if people haven't noticed yet.

2 x Milan in the CL group stages: 0 goals
2 x Milan in the CL knockout rounds: 0 goals
2 x Real Madrid in La Liga: 0 goals
2 x Real Madrid in Copa del Rey: 0 goals
2 x Chelsea in the CL knockout rounds: 0 goals

Coincidence for someone who is so prolific otherwise (82 goals!)? Nah. Big teams are just heavily and effectively marking Messi and ignoring the lesser forwards like Tello, Cuenca, Afellay and Iniesta (yes, he's useless as a striker) and that's doing the job. If they did that back in 2009 with Henry and Eto'o, they would have gotten punished immediately. Their presence on the pitch alone was something else and they opened up space for Messi. Villa needs to get fit as soon as possible. MVP!

I see the urgence of Villa's come back for sure. I don't think Tello can make any difference on the field, I liked Cuenca much better, if we really go for young players I'd prefer Cuenca. On the other hand, Alexis didn't perform as expected last season, his injuries, adaptation period bla bla bla. Fact is, as you say, we need 3 reall dangerous players up front, with our midfield helping them out, Messi will find enough space and chances for his goals. It's actually like a virtous circle. I would return to Villa, Messi, Pedro front line, Alexis as a sub, until he proves everybody wrong.

What we saw yesterday again and again is that Messi is not just about those basic statistics such as assists and goals. It's so much more important that he gets the ball, opens spaces, drags 2-3 people with him etc. The entire ball circulation isn't really worth a penny without Messi's big part. People are blinded by those incredible amount of goals he shoots and every record he breaks year after year, but more important than his goals is actually his entire game that makes us the winning side.

am i the onlyone who thinks that messi shouldn play in the middle against madrid.. xlonso, khedira and pepe are always around him.. it would be better for him to face coentrao or marcelo on the rightwing.. altough a real striker like villa would produce more space for messi when he wants to go from right to left.....

although im pretty confused it seems like messi has reduced his game .. he doesnt make any runs into the space hes waiting for the ball and he often is walking around... kinda strange for me... example yesterday when pedro fouled ramos going on to madrids goal messi stood still not going forward... if he had made a run to the box pedro could had easily passed the ball to him....

although i would have loved to see bartra and masch as cb and pique as rb against cr7.... or pique as rb busi and masch as cb and song als dmf.... that would had some real effect with songs strengh...i guess

a nother thing is that messi cant score against madrid from the field... i really dont get it his shots never hit the target...

when messi is playing on the reight win against real he will have more space .... ronaldo and /marcelo are offense players that would be perfect for counters like madrid does... ronaldo can only be that good becuse hes on the wing facing 1 max2 defenders... messi in the middle is surrounded by players...and barca has no play b when messi is outa game.. imagine ronaldo not on the wing he would lose so mny balls thats why he can shine with his pace and gets good ratings
