The defense looks ok actually. It's not the best in the world. But it's not a complete joke either like it used to be with Demichelis and Milito in it pre Sabella. Considering that they have no midfield to shield the defense and played with 4 attackers (Messi, Higuain, Di Maria, Lavezzi) they did ok. 6 goals in 7 games. No South American team conceded less goals so far during the qualifiers. Argentina didn't concede more than 1 goal in a game so far. The defense isn't the problem. Midfield is. Mascherano is a destroyer with 0 playmaking abilities. So all they have is Gago to run the entire midfield. Good luck with that.

I'm not agree with the worldsoccer article. Messi isn't just left footed. He can score with his right leg.

Ronaldo doesn't score more goals with his weaker foot.

The last, that Messi is starting better in freekick. I don't think, that Ronalo is better.

Ronaldo technic isn't so good. It isn't nine.

I think, Messi should be more affective, when it's matter.

It's difficult to compare, but if you see Messi to play football, than you can see, that Messi much better.
