I assume it was only suggested in the case of Messi's absence, personally i would play Sanchez through the middle when Messi is missing, perhaps with Cesc behind him.

Saw the video along with videos by the same user on other great dribblers in history, such as Maradona, Ronaldo and Cruyff. It's interesting to compare Messi's dribbling with theirs. Messi tries to advance forward by trying to evade defenders while the others mostly take the defenders head on. Messi's dribbling is also mostly continuous and smooth without a change in pace, while the others have a much more stop-start dribbling.

It's probably because of the way defenders are asked to stop them. Against Messi, they station themselves in groups to cut off his space, while for the others, they go and try to take the ball from them, resulting in short periods of 1v1s. Both awesome to watch of course.

I must say Ronaldo is a better dribbler than Ronaldinho and has cooler moves too.

Agree. That´s a amazing quality he has. He´s not about show off. He´s objective and practical.

The CL record is difficult. The others he will beat them.
