I thought about this too but Ney is nowhere near Messi's talent and he admit it saying "I don't know if I can ever get to Messi's level" and I think he won't. Other talent maybe but how talented? Messi like is too hard to find/have and one of his kind might be born once in a few decades or even more.... So I tend to hope some other good things will start to happen to the club/team once Messi will retire...

We will be luck if we find anyone half talented compared to Messi.

He is one of a kind.

We seriously need to lower our expectations when he retire.

Messi has scored 20 goals in 2015.
He can still play up to 26 games (18+8) for Barcelona and Argentina this season, he needs 31 goals to reach 51 goals (the number of goals he had in the 1st part of 2012)!

So we know how people like to say Messi can only succeed in Barcelona with the same teammates? He's been around enough to play with several different players now and if we win the CL this year it'd be a totally different squad. I did some research and based on appearances I compiled the base of each recent CL winning squad.

2008-9: Valdes, Pique, Puyol, Marquez, Busquets, Yaya, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Henry, Eto'o.

I'll finish the research tomorrow since I'm falling asleep.

He got caught by Ronaldo for this season's CL total and also overall in the competition, so expect a hattrick vs City.

I made this post earlier in the season when Fabregas said Barca was too dependent on Messi. 2014/15 updated shows that Barca have never been more Messi dependent - atleast in the realm of direct impact on goals.

I told you after that invisible game where he scored a tap-in and a (REPEATED) penaldo that he's turning into Ronaldo. Now in the next game he scored a header and a penaldo. Now that I think about it I didn't see Messi and Ronaldo in the same place for a long time. Penalilluminati confirmed.
