Di Maria is like a rollarcoaster, guy either plays terrible like vs Romania and you wonder how he is even a pro, or he plays like an atg as he did tonight and was the best player on the pitch.

Messi has 6 goals and 2 assists in the past 2 games. Extend that back and he scored against City in the CL (should've had more than one tbh) and is now approaching a real Messi-esque streak that we're used to seeing.
Messi at his most productive form was in 11/12 when the team was flawed and struggling with injuries. Last season we were held back a LOT by Tito's complete flaccidity as a coach and his relapse so the system prevented Messi's top form from being as good as in 11/12. I'd say that this year's Barca is around the level of 11/12 (much different style though) so it gives Messi room to reproduce that prime form that we all were in complete awe of. The thing is..... I can't even fathom how good Messi would be now in his prime years if Barca reclaimed the holy team system we had under Pep (in 10/11 Messi was still terrestrial in his goalscoring rate even if way ahead of everyone else, it's only since 11/12 that he's hit a stride that is beyond any footballing mortals).

If Pedro, Alexis, Iniesta and Messi maintain their form and somehow our defense by some miracle pulls itself together we have a decent shot at CL title. Still think Real will clinch the league, they are too good to lose to anyone but us and Atletico not to mention we still have to play Atletico.
